Ward was born the 15th of April 1976 in MonroeLouisiana. Monroe Christian School is a only private Christian school for children of all ages. Ward attended Ouachita high school in the parish to complete her secondary schooling. She then moved to River Oaks High School the season following her junior year. After a short period of time, after graduation, she enrolled at Northeast Louisiana University. Ward, then 13, started modeling shortly after leaving school. After graduation, she relocated into New York to pursue this profession. The beginning of her acting career came a few more years afterward. Her first role was an uncredited part in 1970's soap drama All My Children, and later was cast in a teen drama on NBC Premier-Time Malibu Shores. The morning soap Sunset Beach cast Ward as the virgin Meg Cummings in late 1996. In 1999she began to pursue an acting career in the film industry, starring as the psychological Brittany Foster in the erotic film The In Crowd. Although the movie failed to be a success in theaters, it was successful on cable television and DVD. Ward later played a pivotal part in the supporting character of Shallow Hal, a hit film. Ward has also appeared in a variety of direct-to-DVD films and has made guest appearances on a variety of TV shows, including Friends. In 2009she was cast in the role of Chloe Kmet kothe mother of a young gymna ston the ABC Family drama series Make It or Break It being a part of the main cast during the series' first two seasons. In her private life, she was married to David C. Robinson. The couple was blessed with a son who was named Cameron.
